TEXAS BIGHORN SOCIETY

2008 WORK PROJECT

Van Horn, Texas March 28th and 29th, 2008

The Texas Bighorn Society will be holding our annual "Work Project" March 27th and 28th, 2008. We will be building guzzlers on the Beech Mountain Ranch and staying in Van Horn, Texas again this year.

As was the case last year we will meet up in Van Horn early in the morning and caravan out to the work site together through locked gates on private property. Everyone must gather for a mandatory safety briefing at 7:00 AM at the Van Horn Convention Center on the west end of town each morning. It is important that we stay together and go out in as few vehicles as possible as there will limited room to park at the staging area. Four wheel drive and/or high clearance vehicles are recommended as the roads can be very rough. Pam and Jerrell Coburn of Coburn's Catering have once again agreed to feed us lunch on site. We are still working on finding a place for dinner Friday and Saturday, but again we will post that here as soon as possible. We ask that everyone coming please let Pam Coburn know so that your name gets in the pot for meals. If possible e-mail Pam at pcoburn@flash.net or you can call her at 817-336-0401 with your information. The Van Horn Ramada Inn (Phone: 432-283-2800) has offered us a special rate of $59.95 if you mention you are with TBS and make your reservations by 3-7-08, but they have a limited number of rooms so we have listed contact information for some of the other hotels in town below.

We will also be holding the annual Membership meeting on Saturday night and presenting a slate of nominations for directors of the society at that time. If you have questions please e-mail us at information@texasbighornsociety.org, or call Theresa or David Wetzel at 972-259-3699.

We hope to see you all there!
