OFFICIAL NEW STATE RECORD RAM

     Mr. Terry Fricks of Ft. Worth, TX was the winning bidder for one of the Texas Bighorn Permits auctioned off at the recent FNAWS Convention held in San Antonio, and it looks like the old state record set just last year by Glenn Thurman was bested by yet another ram from the herd at the Elephant Mountain Wildlife Management Area. Terry took the massive old giant after several hard days of hunting on March 24, 2005.  The ram's official B&C score after the 60 day drying period was 183 5/8!  This beautiful 10 year old ram is proof positive of what a great program we have in Texas!.
     Congratulations to Mr. Terry Fricks and all the people of Texas Parks and Wildlife who made this hunt of a lifetime possible!  We will try and get you more information as it becomes available.
